Engage in a conversation with Laine or leave comments in the document, and it proposes a plan before making any changes. Once you approve, it carries out the edits across the agreement, replies to and resolves the comment threads it addressed, and tells you exactly what has changed.
Whole-agreement awareness.
Because Laine reads the whole agreement, it understands how the parts connect: which provisions rely on a shared definition, which cross-references depend on a given clause. Change one of them, and Laine reflects that change everywhere it matters, keeping the agreement consistent as a single document rather than a set of separate clauses.
Legal validation.
A legal validation reviews the whole agreement for legal and commercial risk under its governing law. Without changing the text, Laine comments on each issue and sorts them by severity: what to resolve before signing, and the high-risk terms to negotiate. What file formats can I use?
You can import standard Microsoft Word (.docx) files and export the finished document as an editable Word file. Any tracked changes, comments, or redlines already in the document are kept on import, so you can pick up a negotiation exactly where it left off.
Can my team work on the same document?
Yes. Several people can open, share, and review the same editing session at once, and a document is only ever accessible to your authorised team.
Is the editor included in my subscription?
Yes, it comes with your standard workspace subscription. How much advanced redrafting and validation you have available depends on your plan tier.
Can I validate just part of a document?
A validation can run across the whole agreement or only a section you highlight. It reads the governing law from the document, or you can set the jurisdiction yourself, and beyond non-compliant and high-risk findings it also flags medium-risk gaps and commercial recommendations.
Is my work saved, and can I go back to an earlier version?
Your work is saved automatically as you go, with a full version history you can compare against or restore from. Documents sit in secure, encrypted storage that meets strict data-protection standards, open only to your authorised team.
